RE/MAX Egypt’s Top Agent of the Year 2021

Ms. Rania Adel, real estate agent at RE/MAX Station, claimed the title “Top Agent of the Year 2021” for the first ever even though she joined RE/MAX only two years ago with no prior experience in the real estate field .

We conducted an interview with Ms. Rania Adel to find out how she managed to achieve this well-earned accomplishment in such a short period of time and to learn more about her experience with RE/MAX.

1- How did you start your career, and what made you join the real estate field and RE/MAX?

I’ve been working in the tourism and hotels industry all my life, and had no previous experience in the real estate field. I entered this field two years ago when my friends; Mr. Maged Louis and Mr. Sami Samir, Broker Owners of RE/MAX Station, introduced me to this field. I was very worried about taking this step as I had no experience, but in the end, I decided to take the risk of shifting my career.

While working in the tourism industry I heard a lot about RE/MAX, and knew that it was a well-known brand in the real estate market which gave me the push to enter this field. When I joined RE/MAX, I was very impressed with its system and the trainings provided to its newly joined real estate agents and office owners. I was also impressed with the support and guidance provided by the broker owners; Mr. Maged Louis and Mr. Sami Samir who were always available to answer all of my questions.

2- How did you feel when you heard that you were the Top Agent of the Year 2021 in RE/MAX Egypt? And what attributed to your success?

I was very happy when I heard that I was the Top Agent of the Year 2021. It was unexpected as I only entered the real estate field two years ago, and during my first year, Egypt was going through instability due to the outbreak of COVID-19. It made me proud of myself and what I’ve achieved in such a short period of time.

There were many factors that helped me win this title. The first factor was the support provided by Mr. Maged Louis and Mr. Sami Samir who are both inspiring and creative. They motivate their employees, and provide great ideas when it comes to dealing with clients and closing deals. The second factor was the trainings provided by RE/MAX. I attended several and benefited a lot from the trainers as they covered all aspects of the real estate market from dealing with clients to directing them to the right property at the best price.

3- What do you advise those who want to become real estate agents?

I advise them to work hard, be honest with their clients whatever the consequences, and to join a well-known company in the real estate market that provides the support, tools and trainings needed to empower any real estate agent to better serve their clients. Joining a recognized brand increases the credibility of the real estate agent and helps in increasing their number of clients.

From my personal experience, when I introduce myself as a RE/MAX Agent, this gives me instant credibility and opens doors for me. Clients feel assured when they know they are working with the #1 chosen real estate brand worldwide known for its long-established reputation and results. With RE/MAX also being in more than 115 countries, this gave me the opportunity to work with global clients from Canada and USA who prefer to deal with real estate agents whose name is associated with a well-known company like RE/MAX.

4- From your point of view, what is the importance of having a property consultant or a real estate agent during the process of buying or selling a property?

A property consultant or real estate agent is one of the most important factors in any real estate transaction. An agent has vast knowledge about the real estate market, experience and tools to help clients when it comes to buying or selling their property. This is why I advise people to deal with a real estate agent so that they can ensure that their real estate objective is met such as selling their property at the highest price or buying a property that matches their needs. Working with a professional agent will benefit you greatly in the end and make a typically stressful process hassle free.

5- How will the crisis of the devaluation of the Egyptian Pound affect the real estate market in Egypt?

The crisis of the devaluation of the Egyptian Pound has greatly impacted the real estate market. Developers have already raised the prices of properties due to the increasing the prices of raw materials such as cement, iron, etc. As a result, I highly recommend people who are interested in investing in the real estate market to invest now as prices will continue to increase more in the coming period. For people who want to benefit from the increase in the bank’s interest rate, I advise them to put their money in the banks and buy the property in installments from the developers and use the interest rate to pay the installments of the property. This way people will benefit from the interest rate and will be able to buy a property at the same time.

6- Why do you prefer to work on projects in the New Administrative Capital? Do you recommend commercial, residential, or administrative investment?

I prefer working in the New Administrative Capital and advise investors to invest there as it’s the future of Egypt. I’ve seen its infrastructure and witnessed its monumental progress in such a short period of time.

I recommend people to invest in administrative and commercial properties. I encourage parents to buy a residential property for their children as a long-term investment where they can rent it out for now and leave it for their children as their future home.

7- What are the areas that achieve the highest ROI in Egypt?

The New Administrative Capital, New Cairo, and Sheikh Zayed are considered the top areas that achieve the highest ROI all year round, while Al Alamein and El Galala achieve a high ROI but mainly during the summer time.
